Progesta OneTM How Much Progesta One should I Use? Progesta One usage depends on your current hormonal and menstrual status. The following are general recommendations that should be confirmed or modified after consultation with your medical health care provider. Salivary or serum hormonal testing will provide information on your current levels of progesterone and help you assess the amount of natural progesterone that you need and the amount of Progesta One to use. The following are general recommendations that may need to be modified for your
specific situation: In this case, women would normally take Progesta One for PMS, painful cramping with periods, menstrual irregularities, and to protect against osteoporosis later in life. Begin using Progesta One after you have ovulated. Ovulation usually occurs about 10 to 12 days after your period begins. Count the day the period begins as the first day.
Women who are perimenopausal: Count the day the period begins as the first day.
Women who are post menopausal: Choose a calendar day (e.g. the first day of the month) as day one.
Women with severe osteoporosis:
Important Note: It is strongly suggested that you consult with a Health Care Practitioner to monitor your bone density while taking Progesta One. Dr. Lee recommends that a bone mineral density analysis be conducted annually to monitor progress. Dr. Lee also notes that age has no effect at all on the effectiveness of progesterone when used for osteoporosis. For more information see osteoporosis. Do I Need a Break From Using the Cream Each Month? Yes. 1. For menstruating women it is important that the progesterone cream only be used from the 12th to the 26th day, counting the day the period starts as the first day. The reason is that the body uses progesterone to hold the blood lining in place during the last two weeks of the menstrual cycle. If the progesterone cream is used out of sequence, it will interfere with the menstrual cycle. 2. For non-menstruating women, it is recommended by Dr. Lee that the cream be used for three weeks and a break of one week. What Benefits Can I Expect When Using Progesta One Natural Progesterone? The remarkable benefits of Natural Progesterone has become evident in recent years and its use in clinical situations is growing due to an increasing dissatisfaction among women taking synthetic hormones manufactured by the drug companies. A growing number of Health professionals in the United States and Europe use natural progesterone with great success in treating a wide variety of female health problems. Dr. Lee is credited with being the originator of the revolution that is going on among those who have discovered natural progesterone. Natural progesterone cream has turned it into one of the most sought after natural nutrients in the world today. The most significant benefit of progesterone is that it resolves the problem of estrogen dominance which has a toxic effect on the body and can lead to serious health problems, especially in women. Progesterone is also beneficial to the brain, improves sex drive, resolves PMS problems, dissolves fibrocytic lumps in the breasts and elsewhere and it prevents or reverses osteoporosis. USP stands for United States Pharmacopoeia which is the international standard of purity for substances used in the manufacture of drugs and cosmetics. In the case of progesterone, USP simply confirms that the progesterone is the identical molecule as is produced by the human body. The title progesterone USP, identifies the progesterone as natural and differentiates it from the synthetic versions which are often referred to as progestins or progestogens. Will Mexican Wild Yam provide the same benefits as Natural Progesterone? No. The raw material for natural progesterone is usually wild yam but a word of caution is necessary here and that is that wild yam extract is not the same as progesterone. Progesterone is obtained by extracting diosgenin from wild yams and then converting this component into natural progesterone in the laboratory. Natural progesterone is referred to as natural because it is the identical molecule to that which the human body manufactures. Synthetic progestins are also made from diosgenin extracted from wild yam but the key difference is that the molecular structure of progestins are different and are not natural to the human body. There is no evidence that wild yam is converted into progesterone once it enters into the human body and unlike natural progesterone, no conclusive formal studies have ever been conducted that identifies any particular benefits from wild yam. What is the difference between synthetic and natural progesterone? Synthetic progesterone (normally refered to as progestin) are drugs which are manufactured by drug companies and are normally available by prescription only. The molecule of the synthetic progestone is close enough to the natural progesterone that it seeks out and resides in the progesterone recepticiles in the body. This version of progesterone (provera is the most common of them) are not natural to the body and as a result, cause undesireable side effects. Natural progesterone is natural because it is the identical molecule to that manufactured by the human body. When natural progesterone supplements are taken there are no side effects. Why is Progesta One the Preferred Natural Progesterone Cream? Progesta One is the finest quality Liposome-based, hypo-allergenic cream that contains pharmaceutical grade natural progesterone. Progesta One is light, non-oily, and is readily absorbed into the skin for transportation of the progesterone to the fat cells. It is stored in the fat cells for use as needed by the body. Progesta One contains some additional herbs to enhance the effectiveness of the progesterone and the overall menopausal benefits of the cream. These additional herbs include Aloe vera gel, licorice extract, Siberian ginseng, burdock root, black cohosh, primrose oil and grape seed extract. Progesta One is packaged in a very unique capsule with a pump style delivery system that delivers about 20 mg. of natural progesterone with each full stroke of the pump. 20 mg. (up to a maximum of 40 mg.) is the dosage that is recommended by Dr. Lee. What are the side effects associated with Progesterone? There are no known negative side effects, only positive effects. How long will a 4 oz. container of Progesta One last? A 4 oz container of Progesta One will deliver about 80 pumps. Depending on the usage, a 4 oz. container of Progesta One will last about 2 1/2 months. What is the shelf life of Progesta One? Progesta One is manufactured to have a shelf life of at least two years. Its actual shelf life can be expected to be considerably longer because the cream is encapsulated in a hygienically sealed airtight container for the life of the cream. With each use of the pump, a piston moves up underneath the cream to ensure that the remaining cream remains airtight and every last drop of Progesta One is extracted when the container is finished. Why does my body not produce enough progesterone? Did mother nature make the mistake? Mother nature did not make the mistake, we did. Progesterone deficiency or what Dr. Lee refers to as estrogen dominance is a phenomena of the western industrialized world especially over the last 50 years. One hundred years ago women did not have the menopausal problems, osteoporosis problems and the breast cancer issues that they have to deal with today, all of which are escalating at an alarming rate. Women in non-industrialized cultures whose diets are traditional and are untainted with modern processed foods and pesticides do not normally suffer a deficiency in progesterone. Dr. Lee speculates that western women started to suffer from a progesterone deficiency (estrogen dominance) as a result of our modern way of life and the excessive estrogenic substances in the air and in the food we eat. He suggests that ovaries stop making progesterone prematurely and the adrenal cortex and brain are forced to pick up 100% of progesterone production to produce corticosteroids and there isnt much progesterone left over for other functions such as balancing estrogen levels. He comments that the adrenals in many women are so depleted they cant even make enough progesterone to make the corticosteroids which he suggests is an important factor in the chronic fatigue syndrome which is so prevalent in women in their mid thirties and early forties.
